Ipswich v Sheff Wednesday - Ali Pollock

The promotion and relegation battles in the Championship show no sign of slowing down as the final run-in approaches, with Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday key players at both ends of the table.

It’s nearly impossible to navigate the landscape in the Championship right now with four teams fighting for promotion, a further seven in a realistic hunt for play-offs and then up to 10 more fighting to stay out of the bottom three.

The Tractor Boys looked to have slipped away from the automatic promotion places but have bounced back superbly, while the Owls were dead and buried after just 14 games – only to then charge towards safety.

Ipswich can move into the top two with a win when the two sides meet on Saturday, while victory for Wednesday could see them climb out of the relegation zone.

This means that Saturday’s clash is of great importance to pretty much half of the league.

Ipswich possess excellent attacking talent in the shape of Conor Chaplin and Nathan Broadhead, who have chipped in with a combined 23 goals and nine assists.

Couple that with Kieffer Moore spearheading the attack and the promotion hopefuls look a good bet to outscore any opponent.

Sheffield Wednesday’s league position deceives how good they have been under young manager Danny Rohl, with the Owls winning five of their last seven league games.

Should they complete their own great escape, Wednesday will be well poised to kick on next season – and it could all get started with a huge win at Ipswich this Saturday.

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona - Ste Carson

Barcelona travel to the Spanish capital this weekend to face-off with Atletico in La Liga.

The Catalans are in a solid patch of form and will be desperate for another three points to maintain their admittedly slim title chances.

Atletico trail Barça by six points and will be hoping to close that gap and strengthen their grip on a top-four finish, with Athletic Bilbao lurking close behind (-2 points) in fifth.

Both sides recently discovered their fate in this season's Champions League, where Atleti have found more success than they have domestically of late.

Cadiz knocked them out of the Copa del Rey in recent weeks, while Almeria and Sevilla were both able to steal points from Diego Simeone's side and slow down their La Liga charge.

Atletico v Barça is a fixture that has given the Catalans a lot of joy of late, with four wins from their last four head-to-head meetings.

Naturally, both Antoine Griezmann and Joao Felix will catch the eye this weekend.

Barça's Portuguese starlet - on loan from their opponents - isn't having a bad season by any means (7G+A), but Griezmann is playing some of the best football of his career.

With 11 goals and six assists so far this season, the Frenchman's performance against his former club will likely dictate what Atletico get out of the game.

Robert Lewandowski, with 12 goals and six assists to his name, will be similarly as vital to Barça's hopes this weekend.

It should also be noted that Alvaro Morata, Griezmann's partner in crime, has scored 14 goals in La Liga this season.

Dortmund v Frankfurt - Anthony Paphitis

Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt pit their European ambitions against each other as the pair square off in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Fourth-placed Dortmund enter the fixture looking to further press for a spot in next campaign's Champions League, having reached the quarter-finals of this season's edition in midweek.

The Black and Yellows have done well in recent weeks to overtake RB Leipzig in the race, but the one-point gap suggests they won't be taking anything for granted.

Dortmund have recorded back-to-back league wins but they only came on the back of a surprise home defeat to Hoffenheim.

Their domestic return to Signal Iduna Park comes against Frankfurt, who themselves have their own European ambitions.

Currently occupying seventh place, the Eagles will have full focus on league action after being dumped out of the Europa Conference League in the knockout round play-offs.

A top-four finish is not totally out of the question for them, especially as they head to Dortmund on a five-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga.

However, Frankfurt haven't enjoyed the best of times on their travels, winning just two of their last eight league games.
